The front shows the twenty-one initials, grouped by where each sound is made, next to the character it was taken from: 勹 for ㄅ, 刀 for ㄉ, 巜 for ㄍ, and so on. The back does the same for the sixteen finals. Each source character has its pinyin, so you can hear the sound the symbol kept. How did these symbols end up looking the way they do? Once you know, they’re much easier to remember.
It’s a download, and you can print it two ways. At home, use the Letter or A4 sheet: one fold-over card per page, printed single-sided at 100%. For a print shop, there’s a 4×6 in file with bleed for double-sided printing. A short how-to-print sheet walks through both.
